How To Feel Good By Boosting Your Immunity

We all want to feel happy and healthy 100% of the time, however sometimes we do get sick and it is not a pleasant feeling. While there are some illnesses we can’t control,  we can however, give our body the best nutrients and supplements to try and fight of the nasties. Three of my favourite immunity boosting supplements are raw garlic, vitamin C and zinc.

3 Immunity Boosting Supplements

1.Raw garlic in the diet is very beneficial, however cooking garlic can destroy some of its health-promoting compounds. One way to get around this problem is to take Kyolic aged garlic extract. The natural ageing process increases antioxidant levels and enhances garlic’s immune boosting powers and the added benefit of being odourless.

2. Vitamin C is an extremely important nutrient for boosting immunity. Include plenty of foods high in vitamin C in the diet, including fresh fruits and vegies, especially citrus fruits, kiwi fruit, strawberries, broccoli, cabbage and parsley. I would also recommend a vitamin C supplement to ward off colds and flu, take around 2-3 g a day.

3. Zinc is a very important mineral needed for healthy immune function. Zinc is found in foods such as red meat, chicken, fish, dairy foods, eggs, legumes and sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Taking a zinc supplement is also beneficial, around 45mg a day it will give your immunity and extra help as well has balancing hormones which will help with your training.

Try to add these simple supplements in your diet and you will see the benefits on your immunity and allow your body to fight of the nasties more effectively!
