Thinking Positive – It’s Not As Hard As It Seems
Positivity and being happy is a great feeling to experience and I believe that we should all be experiencing this wonderful feeling more often. Our daily lives often get bombarded with things that overwhelm us and leaves us feeling far from positive. This week’s focus is:
Trying to get back to thinking positive even when you are having a far from perfect day!
How you ask? It lies simply in your choice to shift your mind to think of something positive. It doesn’t have to be something BIG, it could be as simple as listening to your favourite song, going for a walk or enjoying a coffee.
Your mind controls your thoughts and feelings, but it is you that controls your mind. If you tell yourself you cannot do something, then you definitely will not. When you find yourself having a negative day you must always try to not let it overpower your whole mind. Because if you do, you will soon find more negativity coming up during your day. Instead acknowledge the negativity, control what you can and try to shift your mind onto something totally different. You will then see how the initial negativity will slowly disappear and you will be on the road to feeling positive!
Steps to shifting your mind towards positivity
1. Acknowledge the negativity
2. Accept it and control what you can
3. Shift your mind to something completely different
4. Use your mind to think about something you love/enjoy and that memory will take you to your positive and happy place making you think and feel positive
